Buttocks

According to studies, the buttocks are probably the most desired part of a woman's body, as they are the seat of and represent sexuality. They are part of the curves and harmony of the silhouette, situated between the lower back and the upper thighs.

Description

The beauty of buttocks varies greatly from one ethnicity to another and according to socio-cultural habits. It is very important to take this into account as buttock harmony is very differently appreciated and codified depending on ethnic origin.

For the Western world, beautiful buttocks are firm, well-rounded and without an infragluteal fold.

This anatomical zone can be the site of various imperfections: sagging buttocks, buttocks with insufficient volume, or excessively large buttocks.

Concerns

Buttocks can present various imperfections: sagging, insufficient or excessive volume.

The imperfection begins when the contents of the buttocks (musculo-fatty filling) and their container (skin envelope) are no longer in harmony.

This condition generally has a genetic origin, sometimes associated with significant overweight or, in the case of buttock ptosis, as a consequence of major weight loss, lack of exercise and muscular filling in young people, or the ageing process where excess skin and flaccid skin are associated with lack of volume.

Solutions

Given the intrinsic heaviness of the buttocks, it is not easy to permanently remove excess skin or artificially increase their volume without taking exaggerated risks.

Therapeutic options for changing buttock shape:

  • Buttock lift
  • Volume reduction
  • Augmentation
  • "Camouflage" reshaping

In all cases, Dr Weiss always recommends the best method for buttock improvement: targeted muscle exercises.
