The Brow Lift - Reshape and Rejuvenate Your Eyebrows

The eyebrows are an integral part of what is called the "orbicular floor" of the face. One cannot discuss gaze rejuvenation surgery without taking eyebrow position into account.

This imperfection is due to skin laxity in the upper part of the face. Ptosed eyebrows cause accentuated appearance of forehead wrinkles, as we tend to raise our eyebrows by wrinkling the forehead to clear the field of vision. Upper blepharoplasty does not in any way correct heavy, ptosed eyebrows.

The Brow Lift, performed by a specialist cosmetic surgeon, is a safe surgery producing natural results. The specialist surgeon will lift your eyebrows and open your gaze. Dr Weiss, specialist in facial cosmetic surgery in Paris (Hauts-de-Seine), invites you to discover the answers to the main questions about the Brow Lift.

Who Is the Brow Lift For?

Eyebrow drooping can be global, or more often concern the mobile part of the eyebrows or the brow tail.

Heavy, drooping eyebrows give the face an ageing and tired appearance.

You may be a candidate for a Brow Lift if:

  • Makeup has become difficult on the upper eyelid, where the eyebrows rest upon it
  • Drooping eyebrows give you a sad, tired and heavy appearance
  • Previous blepharoplasties have not achieved the desired result

What Solution to Lift the Eyebrows?

The 3 surgical methods practised to remedy this imperfection are:

Supra-Brow Lift: moderately lifts the entire length of the eyebrows.

Mannequin Lift (mannequin clip, brow tail lift): only tightens excess skin in the hairline, lifting the brow tail.

Temporal Lift: a surgical technique correcting eyebrow heaviness and their ptosis in the middle and outer parts.

It opens the gaze and improves the stigmata of ageing in the temporal zone from the brow tails to the hairline. It re-tightens the temporal zone, lifts the brow tails (their outer part) upward, and partially smooths crow's feet wrinkles.

Most frequently, the procedure is performed around age 40.

Principles of Brow Lift Surgery

Supra-Brow Lift:

The skin incision is made just above the eyebrow hairs and excess skin is removed.

Supra-brow lift

Mannequin Lift:

The skin incision is made just below the hairline in the temporal region and excess skin is removed.

Temporal Lift:

  • Intracapillary incision (in the hair),
  • Dissection of the temporal fascia to the brow tail,
  • Plication of the fronto-temporo-parietal fasciae (fasciopexy),
  • After skin closure, the scar is very inconspicuous, hidden in the scalp.

These procedures are rarely performed in isolation. They are most often combined with blepharoplasty or a cervico-facial facelift.

Important:
Dr Weiss personally operates both sides using proven surgical techniques.
